Diving

We do our SCUBA diving as a branch of the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC), the UK’s leading dive club and the sport’s National Governing Body.

As a BSAC branch we provide internationally-recognised diver training and development programme via our in-house volunteer instructors and wider BSAC network of clubs and centres across the country and overseas.

As a club we encourage our divers to use the resources of BSAC to develop their skills. Being part of a club the training is far more cost effective than other agencies like PADI because our instructors are all volunteers and you only pay for the logistics and course materials.

We been diving as a club since the 70’s. We are a friendly bunch with a wealth of knowledge and tall tales about our underwater adventures.

Dive trips are regularly planned throughout the year. As UK divers they are mostly in this country between April – October, on the South Coast, West country with regular trips to the Farnes Islands and dive sites in Scotland. But we also organise trips abroad including regular visits to the Red Sea.

We dive as a club and often share trips with other local BSAC branches. Our divers have a varied and diverse interest in diving, and whether it’s wreck, reef or technical diving, we’re sure there’s a SASAC dive for you!

We have both open and closed circuit (rebreather) divers, with a distribution of Sports Diver to First Class BSAC grades which means a widespread level of experience and skill.

Our branch has excellent facilities for qualified SCUBA divers, with our own pool, compressor, boat and clubhouse.
