Snorkelling & Underwater Hockey

Membership renews each April. There are six types of snorkelling memberships.

Family Snorkeler for one adult. The members’ must also be current BSAC diver or BSAC snorkeler member or BOA Standard or BOA Student member. The members’ access and use of the swimming pool is available all year and additionally they can register their dependent children and one cohabiting adult with whom they share a recognised (spousal type) relationship as guests who can accompany them in the pool. Members benefits include, when suitably qualified, access to the club’s dive boat.

Adult Snorkeler for one adult. The members’ must also be current BSAC diver or BSAC snorkeler member or BOA Standard or BOA Student member. The members’ access and use of the swimming pool is available all year but unlike the Family Snorkeler membership they cannot register their dependent children or cohabiting adult with whom they share a recognised (spousal type) relationship as guests who can accompany them in the pool. Members benefits include, when suitably qualified, access to the club’s dive boat.

Senior Snorkeler membership for one adult over state retirement age. The members’ must also be current BSAC diver or BSAC snorkeler or BOA Standard or BOA Student member. The members’ access and use of the swimming pool is available all year but unlike the Family Snorkeler membership they cannot register their dependent children or cohabiting adult with whom they share a recognised (spousal type) relationship as guests who can accompany them in the pool. Members benefits include, when suitably qualified, access to the club’s dive boat.

Student Snorkeler membership for one adult in full time education and under 25. The members’ must also be current BSAC diver or BSAC snorkeler or BOA Standard or BOA Student member. The members’ access and use of the swimming pool is available all year but unlike the Family Snorkeler membership they cannot register their dependent children or cohabiting adult with whom they share a recognised (spousal type) relationship as guests who can accompany them in the pool. Members benefits include, when suitably qualified, access to the club’s dive boat.

University Snorkeler membership for one adult in full time education and under 25 and residing term time away from the local area. The use of the SASAC facilities is restricted to non term times only. The members’ must also be current BSAC diver or BSAC snorkeler or BOA Standard or BOA Student member. The members’ access and use of the swimming pool is available outside of term times but unlike the Family Snorkeler membership they cannot register their dependent children or cohabiting adult with whom they share a recognised (spousal type) relationship as guests who can accompany them in the pool. Members benefits include, when suitably qualified, access to the club’s dive boat.

Junior Snorkeler for one child over the age of 8. The members’ must also be current BSAC diver or BSAC snorkeler member or BOA Junior member. The members’ access and use of the swimming pool is restricted to supervised BSAC or BOA activities.
