We have our own clubhouse with a fully stocked bar. Our clubhouse has undergone a repaint and revamp to freshen it up. We recently were awarded a Sports England grant to renovate the pool, allowing us to add new shower cubicles, toilets, pool surround and much more.
Our lecture room has a projector & sound sytem, and is used for theory lessons. The lecture room is also used when the club shows occasional films. It is also used by other clubs (eg the African Drumming club uses the lecture room on a Thursday evening), and can be hired.
The costs of all air fills from the club compressor are included in diving membership fees (cheaper than air fills at a dive site). All diving members are trained in the use of the air station so they can fill their own cylinders at any time. We also have O2 available for Nitrox and Rebreathers (for a small fee).
Club members who have had the appropriate training can rent kit from the club. When you first start learning to dive, you can pay a small sum to rent the kit for a year which gives new divers time to buy their own kit.
Our club pool is filled all year round after the renovations, making it the perfect area to complete your Ocean Diver training, test out new kit or just go for a swim. Our pool is also rented out to a canoeing club and we have triathlon competitors using the pool.
We have our own RHIB (Rigid-Hulled Inflatable Boat) which can be used by any diving member to organise their own diving trip. We also offer the Boat Handling and the Diver Cox’n SDC at our club.
